Cooperating with Professor Klas Hjort I am using a nano-scale 3D printer (Upnano printer) to manufacture electric propulsion engines for application in satellites. Later on firing and testing created solutions.
Designing my own biomimetic concept for an Electroaerodynamic propulsion system consisting of two biomimetic stages that aim to increase its performance. The work is currently carried out at Ångströmlaboratoriet at Uppsala University.
Researching crosslinked agar copolymers as an alternative matrix in composite laminates with glass fiber. Evaluating properties of folding techniques derived from origami in composite laminates and exploring properties of different agar copolymers and chemical compositions. Mechanical testing in terms of tensile, bending, shear, impact and compression.
Together with the payload team of AGH Space Systems we are currently developing an experiment for STEM cell research and preparing to send it to the International Space Station.
It's a project about potential use of rope-based mechanisms and constructions in space and aerospace applications. As of current the main focus was put on UHMWPE and Kevlar ropes. Such study finds applications in aerospace, balloon technologies and soft robotics.
I always loved watching nature documents on Animal Planet or NatGeo Wild. In this research I connected my passion for materials science and biology to create a laminated crbon fiber composite material with inner structure that replicates shell of Odontodactylus Scyllarus-a small crustacean. Thanks to this my material got some extra strength, and mechanical properties that make it move under pressure.
Together with Zbigniew Skok we came up with some original designs for 3D printers' nozzles that could potentially increase strength and quality of polymers in 3D printing.
In AGH Space Systems Students association together with my teammates I designed and by hand manufactured carbon and glass fiber composite laminates for rockets airframe and fins.
It is a AGH Space Systems' liquid fuel rocket project in which I worked as a part of mechanical design team. My task was to manufacture glass fiber airframe and explosion-proof carbon fiber "half-tube" for recovery system of the rocket.
I took part in projects of SatLab students science association at AGH University of Science and Technology. We work currently on project of a Pocket Sat and my task is to design mechanism and materials for it together with the rest of the team.
My first scientific project done in 2nd year of high school. It was a project of a biomimetic soft robotic arm moved by a rope system, that was powered by the solar panel on its top and could be used as a sun-tracking solar charger for a phone or small device. I did this for two E(x)plory competitions in 2017 and 2018, getting to final and winning to get on Polish representation at ESI Milset 2018 in Abu Dhabi. After doing this project I got interested in science and started studying maths and physics.
